Dhaniya Panjiri is a traditional Indian sweet, often prepared during religious festivals like Janmashtami, and also given to new mothers for postpartum recovery. Made from roasted coriander powder (dhaniya), ghee, sugar, and dry fruits, it is considered sattvic (pure and nourishing) and holds both cultural and medicinal importance in Ayurveda. Unlike regular panjiri made with wheat flour, this version uses coriander, which has numerous digestive and health benefits. It is especially favored during fasting (vrat) as it is light on the stomach and offers energy and warmth.
